From a young age, Derrick LaMere was taught about the about of storytelling from his elders on the Colville Indian Reservation. His people have used storytelling to teach and preserve their traditional knowledge for generations.

For the past 10+ years, Derrick has put traditional practice into motion and has been fortunate enough to help create great films and relationships with various Native Americans and First Nations groups.

One of the films made by the company is “Older Than The Crown,” a documentary that follows the trial of Sinixt tribal member Rick Desautel who, in 2010, was charged with hunting as a non-resident and without a proper permit in Canada, and the case was taken up to the Canadian Supreme Court.
