With his big blue rig, former police officer Ryan Gobin has gone from serving warrants to serving delicious food, while also sharing his heritage.
Ryan REZ-ipes is a multifaceted catering service that offers more than just food services. They offer a unique experience to their customers with their fresh, one-of-a-kind menu, and packaged services that include Hawaiian shaved ice made to order and even an outdoor nightclub with their state of the art sound system.
The truck’s name came from customers during a Facebook poll, which is very fitting because he’s from the Tulalip Reservation and all of the recipes are his.
Their logo represents Ryan and his family. It was designed by his uncle and depicts a salmon and an eagle. The salmon represents his Tribe and the eagle represents his Tribal name yəx̌ʷəlaʔ siʔab, which means Honorable Eagle.
Not only did Ryan’s grandfather design the logo, his mom, Cindy, works the cash register and his stepdaughter, Isabelle, cooks with him.
In January, they were named the winner of Best Food Truck in 2022’s Best of Western Washington viewers poll by King 5. They were also named best food truck in Snohomish County by The Daily Herald in February.
Some of the most popular items on their menu are the cheesy pulled pork tacos, kalbi steak burrito, and fluffy frybread, served with sauces such as lemon raspberry jam, or with cinnamon and sugar.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. You can find the menus for both the food truck and catering services on their website. You can also stay up-to-date on their latest activities on Facebook and Instagram.
